Another mech sketch, though this time of the legendary Shimmering Sword, in its MkVI.2 revision. All this time on DA and I've never alluded to the source of my user name, this mech. Mostly because it can be a pain to draw right, and still is.
Shimmering Sword is the name given to this mech by its pilot, there is only one of these existent, and deploys as the lead of high level Purple battalion assaults.

-massive tech spam...
A private research unit commissioned by a family in one royal militia bought heavily into the emerging technology of Juggernaut weight mechs, and was fortunate to be selected as a tester of a new experimental energy shielding technology. It's Behemoth project then became the primary test and developer of shielding technology.
It would sponsor other companies tasked with the Rangers rise to overwhelming technological superiority, including a power armor developer that would lead to the Elemental class, and another which would develop the bioneural mech.

The SMR06 Behemoth class mech was the last revision of the design before all research and combat data of all models was recompiled and heavily reviewed. The data file was then licensed to Star Protectorate Industries to produce the 7th revision, and first production model, simply named the Behemoth MkI.

This SMR06(.2) has some reworked structure, mostly in the legs. It also has its top mounted high velocity cannons swapped out with 'mission package' missiles to support urban operations from afar. Returns in investment have provided the SMR06 with advances in shielding from the Elemental project, and locomotion from BioMech projects.

x4 high cycle heavy lasers
x2 12pod MPM launchers
x2 "horizon cutter" high ion accelerators
- Pilot stands at height of mechs toe.

Wow this looks cool! I'm not good at making robots, I think its because I get confused at the solid nature of them, in relation to softer objects like humans that I am more accustomed to.

Is this guy your own design? Or, is this a mech from Battletech that I just have yet to read about?
