A speed paint of sorts. 1.5 hours for most of the build up, then another hour of extra cleaning and tweaking.

Here the near star has been setting at the 'horizon' since the beginning of mankind and beyond. Deep reconnaissance ships admire the view.
(yes I know this stellar composition is very unrealistic, but so is placing 2 planets closer than we are to our moon :D)

Million Years Sunset by *Shimmering-Sword Sometimes I think that speed painting doesn't get the recognition it deserves.. It is mind boggling how a few strokes, placed just right, can make a wonderful artwork. Kudos!!! ( Featured by `Casperium )

The stellar cloud looks like a soldier with one glowing eye to me for some reason.

for a second there I thought this was some light quintescential reference to Dead Space cause that cloud there (on the left), looked like it shaped the appearance of Issac's suit :wow:

I have my own story set in the Rho Ophiuchi Dark Cloud.

This view could be semi-realistic if the star is still very young and the proto-planetary disc is still disrupted by the shockwaves from the star's birth.

True, a non massive star with extremely dense dust would work.
