Description
The product of tonights LiveStream. Went in without any plans, aside from to make an entry for The-mech-warriors competition.
This came out, don't think I've ever polished a piece this much in one sitting, the power of mecha got me though
A Marauder heavy mech from battletech, firing a pair of PPCs and Medium Lasers.
Due to the original being a pull from macross, the canon design has gone through a lot of changes in it's life. With my painting I aimed to bring together the feel of the original, with some modernization of the re-seen version, some IIC details made it in too.

I would have to agree with Bishop. Hands down one of your best Marauder Designs. By completely changing the torso into more of a Cataphract / Avatar style tors you can side step a lot of the legal issues with the original marauder. But the real genius comes from incorporating a lot of the marauders defining features.
The top mounted gun, the vents on the side and the extruding bubble cockpit. All great choices. I felt the technique was a little lacking, not that it's not fantastic it's just it doesn't feel like it's up to your usual standards.
If you ever get around to designing a 3D model or even a few more illustrations of this concept from different angles I would definitely go hit MWO over the head with the design. Give Alex a run for his money.
Peace out sir
