Kristen Marx, in her Elemental which I have yet to name. Her suits AI was an experimental variation, it is highly aggressive, kept in check only by it's failsafe link to Kristen who it chose as it's pilot. An original specialty in thermal control makes for a terrifying offense and efficient defense, later experimental techniques prove far more shocking.

What does the is the suits AI in charge of doing?

Is the suit AI housed in the suit or in the operator?

Housed in the suit, it aids in whatever the pilot asks of it (provided it's cooperating). Most commonly improving shield formations and aiding in precise movement (aiming and dodging).

Two followup questions.

Can an Elemental still operate the suit if the AI isn't cooperating?

Can an AI be transferred to a different suit? For example, assuming that the events in :thumb298237048: have rendered the suit unrepairable, could that suit's AI be transferred to Nayora's replacement suit?

Without the AI the suit itself works like any other power armor. Just things like predicting the path of a projectile and narrowly moving out of it's way become impossible. The shields will still operate too, just not as precisely. Luckily the main human interfaces for shields are mental visualization combined with emotion and physical movement, a basic suit computer can still interpret these to a degree, running each type of shield formation like a program.

Not practical to carry around everywhere, but for a quick opening burst of anti-armor firepower it comes in handy.
