I'm using your art on a Rp forum I'm on, and I have to say every thing you post has that balance of articular and functional value. These pics give so much inspiration when writing. Thank you.
P.S. don't thank m back cause your stuff re-inspired me to draw. Just keep pumping out these pics as thanks for my praise. Seriously I'll be disappointed in the game industry if they don't pick this up.
Rights carry around with the art it is attached to. What I mean is YOU don't have the right to distribute art that isn't my personal work (don't repost my art). This isn't just about selling / making money.
Weapon is very sharp, even if the barrel seems somewhat truncated. Why a scope though? I realize that it visually implies the nature of the pose and the soldiers role as a marksman, but it would seem that such an advanced helmet with full face shield would logically provide image magnification, and perhaps a wireless weapon link for targeting assist and data....anywho! Totally dig the helmet as well as the combat rig. I think my favorite thing, well two things, about this piece are:
1:Evil smiley face on visor 2osture of the pose is just fantastic, it seems like it suggest such a story...a rough insertion, with him perched on a precarious incline, tension mounting as he sights a piece of armor or mecha, and the suggestion of the impending maelstrom of combat to follow his shot when his position is compromised!
Still a fairly long barrel due to the bullpup layout, can't be too long to maintain some maneuverability. The helmet can indeed sync up to weapons and do it's own magnification, but a mounted scope offers more accurate, higher quality magnification firing, and redundancy if the helm fails or a lesser equipped soldier needs it.
Yeah I'd love a helmet like that, as long as I had a HUD reticule. Otherwise the faceshield would make a proper cheek weld impossible when using optics or iron sights. I assume this guy has HUD aiming since that's the logical choice.
