Awsome job on the composition again, I love the close up of the hand and very wonderful detail with light and dark relationship of the helmet you can tell the sunlight is flashing on the middle guys face
Actually having a blade (energy or physical) as an auxiliary weapon is very practical. A knife is silent, it neither jams nor sticks and you don't have to reload it. It's significantly more effective than fists. Real soldiers, (particularly commandos) carry knives into combat all the time. (Not so much for snipers)
It makes sense in some stories, like a sci-fi where personal shields are so common the overall effectiveness of ranged weapons is greatly reduced. That is rarely the case though. Halo pulls it off pretty well.
This is nice!. When you see the picture you can see instantly who is on command, the leader is being protected since everyone is on their tactic defensive positions! (Special force environment). Also the mixture of weapons, some using guns and the leader killing one guy with an "energy sword" (his distinctive item, eh?).
It looks high tech, I believe that if some day there is a rendered version of this... it would be look like "woah!".
I love the fact that the power armored soldier is smug and seems to be winking at the soldier next to her and is giving off the "hehe You're next!" Type of vibe while keeping the fact that the individual is capable of so much. I love this
