My newest Battletech work for Catalyst Game Labs, an interior illustration for Liberation of Terra II. Two Starslayers hunt down a Cestus in the city streets of Singapore as the Star Leagues 250th Battlemech Division pushes out the 19th Amaris Dragoons.
If I had more time for this assignment I would have liked to do a more extensive redesign on the mechs, especially the Cestus, but time was short. I chose mechs that deserved a bit of spotlight and while derpy could be easily fixed. Starslayers are pretty cool when you chop of their silly armpit thighs and balance their torso.
When I was reading the book, I thought to myself: "I know the style!" Well done!...as always. The book is very interesting and worth a recommendation. Especially the topic about the European Theatre landings. Keep it on! And I hope we are going to see more of your work in CGL books.
I am impressed with your black/white/shades of grey work. You did a fine job of tweaking the Starslayer, and the scene is one of action without being too busy. Furthermore, I have been to Singapore many times and those buildings are spot-on! Good work, Anthony.
Keep it on! And I hope we are going to see more of your work in CGL books.
