All your mechs are great, but this one is just so solid - like nothing could touch it. Excellent work :) You inspired me to do a few mechs of my own ;)

In MechWarrior Mercenaries there is a Sunder, the only difference are the guns are closer together.

Are you looking at the sunder right now as you compare them? The guns are the only very similar thing.

50 heat... Hellstar puts out 60 with 4 clan ER PPCs and stay pretty frosty with 30 DHS... only movement generates heat in that mech... should be able to keep this one cold as well...

You know with all the designs your doing someone out there has to be doing a fan made TRO with them. Great work.

People generally respect art copyrights in the BT community. When people want to make a fan TRO they usually commission original art too.

This is an interesting mix. While it mostly seems to be Awesome, the arms resemble the Sunder and the Cockpit has a little of the Longbow from the Phoenix project.
I prefer Arms with hands for hand-to-hand combat or non combat work (grabbing and lifting), but the dual Large Lasers do look intimidating :eyepopping:

I tend to gravitate towards no hands, but I understand their uses in battletech. Most of the time though it's defined by the assignment.

Definitely, since hands require an actuator for it, taking away 1 critical internal space in the arm.

I really like this one.   Kind of looks like a very nicely "beefed-up"  Battletech Sunder.   I might need to try bashing/modifying a mini around this general concept.

Didn't think of the masakari on this one. Depending on which version the arms are similar though.

Obviously. But the one right under the cockpit on the nose looks like a camera, if its not supposed to be thats your fault for adding highlights where they dont belong. :P

Either way, nice.

If I recall from what little German I know, I believe 'Maus' meant 'mouse'...why someone would name such a badass-looking 'bot such as this after what can possibly be one of the cutest animals in the world is beyond me. Although given that Front Mission has a series of Wanzers named the Igel ("hedgehog"), and its other model the Grille ("cricket") it begs the question as to what goes through a German's mind when naming robots.

Other than that, still looks rather deadly.

Here's the robots I speak of:

God and Davion isn't German but Spanish IIRC.
Also I suppose there was a certain touch of irony involved when the Wehrmacht opted for the "Maus" designation for the heaviest tank ever built...

As for the design, I really like the Torso and head section. The Arms almost look ancient in terms of art style in comparison, but since they were requested, I suppose there was not much to do about it.

Now that you put it that way, I suppose the irony ought to be damaging enough.

if the Germans thought it appropriate to name their super tank the Maus, it's probably fitting enough here.
