This is /awesome/! I love the Burrock and it's cool to see some more art than just the TRO and the Megamek sprite. My only real complaint would have to be that the yellow upper thigh plates don't exactly seem to be making any sense with regards to the thighs' actual positioning (more evident on the right (from its perspective) leg than on the left). I really like how the UAC20 arm turned out, in particular.

I'm not a fan of hip mounted skirt plating so I'm never quite sure what to do with them. A lot of artists BS how they work too much to accommodate the poses, and that I don't like.

I feel ya. Hips and shoulders are insanely complicated; mech shoulders one can skimp on during design if it's a stompy mech (because you can normally just assume it's not supposed to replicate human motion), but hips generally really need to be capable of true hip motion to provide basic manueverability. Doing so also tends to result in a very bulky pair of joints and well, those are very hard to realistically armour (or to even armour in a remotely good-looking way).

I do a lot of sketching trying to figure this sort of thing out but my hip joints are all collections of disc-shaped one-axis rotation joints and well, they're gigantic messes.
