Commissions are back open. I have a few clients already in the wait list carried over from when I last put things on hold so it will take me a bit before I get to new inquiries, but as always, get in line sooner rather than later as there will always be a wait list and my rates go up semi regularly.
On the subject or rates, I'm resuming things at the same rates I had previously. If demand is high that may go up quickly though, another reason to not delay. Apologies to those that I'm too pricy for, gotta pay those bills :)

Work examples and prices are listed below. The basic idea is that I work in sittings, and the more sittings paid for the more I can achieve. This is my way of quoting costs without getting into the nickels and dimes.
Alternatively I can work/charge by the hour for more flexibility, using the hourly rate that defines my prices shown below.

Sketches. Ranging from loose sketch to shaded and same what cleaned up.
-Quick Sketch $30-90
Awesomann Mech by Shimmering-Sword Commission - Iron Element by Shimmering-Sword Commission - Soldier Classes by Shimmering-Sword
Quick painting or cleaned sketch. Good for loose color character or vehicle designs with simple/no background, and minimal revisions.
Alternatively I can do clean shaded sketch designs.
-Quick Painting / Clean Sketch $120
Commission - Ion Armor by Shimmering-Sword WinterMoth Soldier by Shimmering-Sword Commission - Star Trek Tank by Shimmering-Sword
Small Painting. A 2 sitting project allowing for clean painted work with time for revisions. Can support moderate background detail.
-Paint $240
Commission - Last Stand by Shimmering-Sword Battletech - Burrock by Shimmering-Sword Commission - Galkgrokst Infantry by Shimmering-Sword
Extended Painting Commission. Three+ sitting painting. Options for high detail, full environments, and ample revision time.
-Paint $360 and up (will quote based on request)
Battletech - Heavy Air by Shimmering-Sword Commission - Human Resistance by Shimmering-Sword Commission - Tank Combat by Shimmering-Sword Battletech - Draconis Combine Sunder by Shimmering-Sword Commission - Homeworld Clandestine by Shimmering-Sword

Please note me if you are interested.
This commission structure is not rigid, alternate processes can be discussed if needed.

Prices are in USD$
Payment by paypal only. 50% or full (preferred) paid in advance.

Hello again people, long time no update.

I've been down in Medford Oregon for a while now and it's about time to move, I'm thinking Portland.
I just want to throw it out here on DA to explore all options, if anyone in Portland is looking for a kewl artist roommate I'd enjoy sharing an apartment.
Alternatively, I'm looking to live in proximity to friends too, so if you want you can let me know where about you live and I may take that into consideration for where I settle.

In other news, work on The Protectorate Wars book continues, delayed, but keeping at it.
Maybe I'll post a piece or two soon, but as usual those who backed or pre-order the book get to see everything I'm working on. I've also released a preview layout PDF that all backers/pre-orders received.
If you'd like to pre-order the book you can do so at this blog page:…

So, how is everyone?

Thanks for the Llama! I actually used to check out your art when you were first starting off, I was in Middle School but I never signed up for dA until a year ago. I almost forgot your awesome art, glad I could rectify that. Still your art is still awesome as I remember so keep it up!

Quite a long time fan then. Maybe I've improved a little :P

Yes, I fell for your Elemental armor. It was creative and original when I first saw it. I love the idea of it all. I believe you are improving quite well but your modestity is a good thing. All one can do is keep striving to do better unless the creator thinks there is no longer a need for improvement.
